2013.2.11 Letter #1 Family to Elder Bryant
2013.2.11 Letter #1 Elder Bryant to Family
We dropped Jordan off at the MTC on Wednesday February 6, 2013. Our
first communication with him was the following Monday when we received
our first letter. I only cried a little :)
Happy Tears though...
I was so happy to hear that things were going very well at the MTC!!
That one little word (very) communicated so much to me. If he was
just ok, he would have just written that things were going well...
Now that I know things are good I can relax and enjoy the ride!!

2013.2.5 Dinner With Our Elder
2013.2.5 Our Missionary...
After we had our family photos taken, Jordan was Set Apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This was the night before he left for the MTC. I think I was kind of numb. I knew he was leaving but couldn't imagine what it would be like having him gone...
These are a few of our photos we took at home just after he was Set Apart...

It's been years since we've had an official family photo taken. I won't say how many years, but let's just
say that Jordan was still in Primary. On February 5th, the night before Jordan left for the MTC, we had
these taken.

2013.2.3 About The Author
Jordan was sent a packet from his mission president in Dallas. One of
the forms he had to fill out was an info sheet and on the back he was
asked to write about himself. This is what he wrote...

2013.1.12 Temple Day!!
On January 12, 2013 Jordan had the opportunity to receive his Endowment in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. What a Great day!!
It was so nice to have the love and support from our relatives and close family-friends that were able to be there with us, it meant so much!!
Unfortunately, it was so stinking cold that day that we didn't get any photos so I'll have to find one of the Temple at least and post it here.
Afterwards, we went home to change and get the boys so we could all go to Los Hermanos for Lunch/Dinner.

2013.1.2 Challenge Accepted!!
Here is a conversation between Bishop Slaugh
and Jordan regarding his Acceptance Letter for
his mission as told to me by Jordan of course....
Bishop Slaugh asked Jordan if he had written
his acceptance letter for his mission yet?
Jordan said, "No, not yet." Then proceeded to ask the bishop how
long his letter needed to be?
The Bishop said that it didn't need to be long and that just a short
paragraph would suffice.
Jordan then asked the bishop if he had ever gotten one back that was
the full page length.
Bishop Slaugh told him no, he had never gotten one back that was
that long.
Later that day at our house Jordan recounted the story and said to me:
Challenge Accepted!!
Here is the letter he wrote accepting his call....
